GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" June 4, 1989 - No. 8

It seems the wheels fell off on Sunday for the Ist XVIII, particularly in the goal kicking area. Narrandera's stars were at their best and didn't give the Swans too many opportunities, hopefully more players at regular training, don't leave it to the faithful few. Best players were Darren Prest, Robbie Owen, Darren McGown and Les Parish.

On the happier note Kirk's boys did it again and remain undefeated. Keep at it boys, our last premiership was in 1978 with Kirk. Be good if he does it again - a tribute to a great player. Best players were Roy Agresta (jnr), Garry Waters, Mark Cameron and Peter McGrath. A good team effort.

Under 18's didn't get their act together and paid the price when they were beaten. More dedication from some players to support the goers. Best players were Mathew Cox, Jason Wadley, Mark Owen, Tony Butcher, Phillip Crowe and Robert Kelly.

Netball girls still battling. Congratulations to those girls in there trying. The girls would like to say thank you to Ian and Jenny Geddes for the weekly mug for the best player, who last week was Belinda Berthon. How about a little support for the girls. Wander over and watch them. Let them know they have support from the club.
