GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" June 4, 1995 - No. 8

Welcome to a big day of Aussie Rules. For the first time the senior and junior club will play on the same day giving everyone involved the opportunity to observe football at its best. Hopefully the efforts of the Leeton and Griffith committees (junior & senior) will be rewarded with a great day of footy.
After a well-received rest, it's back into the fray as they say. Congrats to both Gary Argus and Phil Rowston in making the rep side.
Against the Gullie our Under 18's (& 5 Under 15's who helped out) played a very tough and rugged encounter only to lose the very spirited game. The incentive award winners were Glen Vaccari $20, Adam Sara $15 and Troy Hulm $10, who didn't mind the step up from the 15's.
The 2nds, even without a few of their stars, came away with a comfortable win and discovered some new talent to bolster the ranks. Chris Scobie and Don McMillan all having their first run for the year didn't let the side down at all. The incentive awards to Daniel Tuohey $30, Adam King $20 and Brent Hathaway $10. Christian Files won the mug with the 'Players Player' award to Daniel Tuohey.
In a very tight game, the Seniors continued to cement their place in the top half of the ladder. The incentive award winners sponsored by Quiprite saw Dean Jamieson pick up the $100, Matt Kenny $50, Jamie Bennett $30 and Chris Conlan in a best-on-ground display $20.
The Netballers had a tough fought game with 100% effort from everyone. Sadly, the asphalt upset Kim Barber's knee. Best were Lisa Brand. The final score was 12-17 Gullie's way.

With seven results up for grabs, let's make sure Griffith wins the lot!!
