GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" July 17, 1994 - No. 14

After a close game all day the only difference between the sides was Terry Daniher who certainly deserved B.O.G. honours. It's very apparent that we are right up there with them, when we click together Griffith has the ability to beat them. Our best players were Tim Fraser (the $100 incentive award winner sponsored by Steve Best) Phil Rowston, Brett Davis, who was supported by the other incentive award winners Andrew Barber $50, Danny Litchfield $30 and Mark Brown $20.
A much-improved effort from all concerned in the Second Grade were at least we had as much use of the ball but unfortunately no-one to capitalise up forward.  Best players were Mark Cameron ($30 The Area News incentive award winner), Jason Wadley $20, Brett Miller $10, Scott Collis and Scott Wade. Special mention to Steve Cunial who really makes sure he got his share of Ian Wade's much appreciated donation of a couple of slabs of VB after the game.
The Under 18's got themselves back in the serious mood that's required to play good football and certainly had a much-improved effort that resulted in a win over a side above them. Best players were Matthew Bunn, Craig Browne, Glen Vaccari and Adam Sara.
The netball sides continued on their winning way and accounted for Wagga in a very convincing manner winning 34-19. Kathy Bouchier gave plenty of drive thru the centre and Carmen Olney shot consistently. Kirsty Collis also played well. The B Grade side won on forfeit.
This week it's Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong, so let's get back on the winners list.
