GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" August 20, 1995 - No. 19

Our football sides certainly had a day out against Collingullie Ashmont last weekend with all three grades having comfortable wins. With this winning form improving every week and the improved attitude on the training track the rewards are coming and will continue to get greater as the season draws towards the finals. This week we play Tigers, and it will be a greater indicator of how the sides have improved since we last met.
The Under 18's reversed the first-round loss to Collingullie and came away with a good win. The Area News incentive award winners were Bill Furner $20, Norm Campbell $15 and Adam Sara $10 with Matt Olney and Steve Serafin worth a mention.
The Second Grade have now accomplished one of Jokers aims for the season and that was to win half the number of games played with the possibility of more wins still to come. The incentive award winners were Christian Files $30, Ron Irvin $20 and Malcolm Burke $10, the players player was Richie Telfer with John Warden having to do battle with the Mug.
The Seniors certainly put together last week so it will have put them in the right frame of mind to beat the Tigers this weekend. The incentive award winners were Ricky Burdett $100, Tony Butcher $50, Shane Ruyg $30 and Greg Collins $20 with the players player 'Billy' McGowan with his 11-goal effort.
The club would like to congratulate Karen Conlan and Lisa Brand on making the Riverina All Star team.
