GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 21, 1995 - No. 7

With a full squad of players available last week for the first time this year and East Wagga-K. the very opposite with regards to playing strength, it was little wonder the second highest score (252) in the league history was racked up, but the boys really did put it together for the entire game and can only get better.
The Under 18's started the day off on the right note and ran out easy winners in the end against an under strength side. Best players were Bill Furner $15, Matt Olney $10 and Kane Duncan $5. Other good players were Steve Serafin and Damon Clark.
The 2nds also racked up one of the biggest scores they have ever kicked as well with Christian Files and Brent Hathaway and Adam King enjoying goal kicking. Best players and incentive award winners were Brent Hathaway $30, Justin Barry $20 and Scotty McDermott $10, with the players play award to Kingy.
With 10 goal kickers in First Grade, nearly everyone had a crack at the big sticks.  With a full side the boys played some of the football seen at the Exies for some time. The incentive award winners, which was sponsored by Steve Best, were Chris Conlan who had a blinder $100, Tony Butcher who doesn't know how to play a bad game $50, Jamie Bennett showing his true potential $30, and Dean McGowan giving us his version of Plugger $20.
This week it's Collingullie, so let's keep up the good work and don't let up from last week.
