GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 22, 1994 - No. 7 

A game against the Lions is one the Swans always look forward to, unfortunately Sunday was not one of our better days.
The Thirds went down, but there were some fine displays particularly in the backline, were the Peter Prendergast sponsored award winners were Normie Campbell with the $25, Wayne Donetto with the $15 and Dean Leask with the $10.
The Seconds were outclassed, but battled well all day, including Chris Noack, Dave Hosking and Peter Vardanega who collected the Bertoldo's awards. 
The Firsts played well if the number of possessions counts but couldn't convert at all. The coach, Shane Fitzsimmons, Brett Davis and Gary Argus played very well. Maybe we could borrow Plugger Lockett for 8 weeks - till we can get organised.
The Netball fielded two sides. The B Grade were defeated but Jacki O'Brien and Louise played well in attack. The A Graders supplied the only light in a dark day, defeating the Lionesses well. Peta Bennett and Nicole Hathaway defended well, while Cathie Bourchier provided plenty of drive-in attack. A reminder that training is at 6 pm on Wednesdays at Exies.
