GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" September 3, 1995 - No. 21

The Under 18's had something to aim for and that was third position and the double chance, and they achieved that which was a great effort on their part. The boys are playing better football every week and with the double chance they have certainly given themselves a great opportunity in the finals. Our best players were Dwayne Ashcroft, Rodney Savage, M Clarke, Matt Olney, Kevin Collins and Brent Harrison.
The 2nds had a great come-from-behind win to finish the season with 10 wins, 8 losses, which is a vast improvement on last year's effort. After Joker's tongue lashing at half time, the boys responded which certainly had the desired effect. Best players were Ian Geddes in his retirement game with a great 4 goal display, Myles Bunn, Christian Files, Craig Bretherton and 'Dipper' Reid.
A huge letdown was the only way to describe the Seniors effort. Probably a good thing that we got it out of the system. Best players were Mark Cameron, Brett Davis, Phil Rowston, Don Moran and Jamie Bennett.
Our Best & Fairest night will be held on Sunday night at the Exies Oval. Paul Hudson and Raydon Tallis from Hawthorn will be in attendance, so it should be a good night.
Best of luck to the Under 18's and the Seniors on Sunday. Both are capable of going all the way!
