AT GRIFFITH SWANS PAST AWAY MEETINGS WITH COLLINGULLIE-WAGGA DEMONS - 17.08.24

The Griffith Swans make their sixteenth Riverina League visit to the Crossroads Oval on Saturday in the knowledge that they have not won there on the last three occasions. The last victories were in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
The club's first meeting came in 1995, Collingullie Demons first season in Riverina Football League. Griffith under Phillip Rowston won 134 to 47 on Sunday May 21 - Dean McGowan, Jamie Bennett and Chris Conlan kicking 4 goals each.

Next season on May 19, 1996, the Swans started the game off like a bomb in the first quarter scoring 7 goals to nil and never looked back, running out convincing winners, 131 - 97 against good 'Gullie opposition.

On August 11, 2011, in the first meeting for almost 14 years at Crossroads Oval, 7 goals from Gullie' Marc Geppert condemned Damien Scott's men to one their heaviest defeat of the season, thanks largely to a horror 20-minute period after half time.
