Media report - by Jimmy Meiklejohn: Ganmain-GGM continued their impressive winning run claiming a 20-goal win at home against Griffith. The Lions led at every change and then kicked away late to record a 161 to 41 victory over the Swans. While happy to secure victory, GGGM coach Sam Martyn admitted they were a fair way off their best footy at different stages of the contest. "We're satisfied, but probably not overjoyed," Martyn said. "We definitely didn't play our best football, especially in the first and third quarters, however our second and fourth were good." Jack Sase, Matt Hamblin, Seb Hamblin and Jesse Lander were among GGGM's best in their dominant win.

Martyn praised the efforts of Sase down back, declaring he played a pivotal role on the last line of defence for the Lions. "He was phenomenal," he said. "He was the shining light for us; he held down that last line of defence really well and had a really good game."
Jack Powell continued his strong run of form up forward kicking five goals while Jacob Olsson, Sid White, Zac Burhop, Lander, Aaron Proctor and Jakob Taylor also hit the scoreboard more than once during the afternoon. Powell has now kicked 17 goals from the past three games and Martyn said it was good to see him make the most of his chances when playing forward. "Powelly was really solid again," he said. "He did most of his damage in the last, he just made the most of his opportunities when the ball was inside 50."
Martyn was on the sidelines for the clash against the Swans; however, he is confident of a playing return in the next couple of weeks. After injuring his knee in their win against Leeton-Whitton, the GGGM coach received positive news this week as scans revealed no serious damage. The Lions finished the game down a rotation as young defender Joe Foley injured his quad and didn't take any further part in the contest once he left the field.
