A summary of match report, with thanks
Griffith Swans chance of a spot in the finals now relies on the next two weeks of home games after they were devastated by Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong yesterday. GGGM are the benchmark in the Riverina Football League competition, and it was always going to be a mammoth test to beat them at home. Swans captain-coach Luke McLean said they now know exactly what they are up against if they are to secure a spot in the finals. "They are a well drilled side, and they were better on the day," McLean said.

"They have won the last two flags and they are looking for a third, so it isn't going to be easy." The Swans now have two home games against Coolamon and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes, games they must win to grab last spot in the finals race. "Coolamon are the second bottom side on the ladder and if we can't beat them at home we don't deserve to be in the finals,' McLean said.

"We know we have to win but if we can get through to the finals, we know that we can be competitive. "We have beaten every side this year, except for Ganmain." McLean named James Toscan and Daniel Best as two of the better players on the pitch in their loss to GGGM.
