A summary of match report, with thanks
Griffith have moved their winning streak to 15 games and have now equalled a club record for most consecutive by a senior side following a dominant display against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes. The Swans were able to hold the Goannas goalless in the first half before taking out a 12.16 (86) to 7.6 (48) win at Exies Oval on Saturday afternoon. Lucas Conlan, Jordan Iudica and Theo Valeri led the goal scoring for the Swans with two goals each, while for Mangoplah-CUE, Angus McLay was the only multiple goal kicker.

In blustery conditions at Exies Oval, Swans coach Will Griggs was happy to see his side getting their running game working to good effect. "In conditions with that kind of wind we just had to tuck it under our arm and run a bit and allow us to run by putting blocks on and spreading out of the stoppages," he said. The boys on the outside of the stoppages and congestion were fantastic today. They were always on the move." With Griggs happy with the 44-point win over the third-placed Mangoplah side he still didn't feel it was an accurate reflection of the game.

"I thought we were pretty dominate for the majority of the game," he said. "We kicked 12.16 so still a bit of work to be done with our accuracy. The boys were fantastic just a few lapses and decisions that didn't go our way." It was a milestone game for young gun Sam Foley as he brought up his 50 games with the Swans in style. "He kicked a fantastic goal on the run from the boundary," he said.

"It just goes to show when everyone got around him how much he has an impact on this team. The boys love playing with him and having him here, and he has a big future ahead of him." The other standouts for the Swans were Toby Blissett, Lucas Conlan, Jordan Iudica and Isaac Campbell. "I thought Toby Blissett probably had his best game. He was used as a bit of a utility for us, and he was fantastic," he said.

"Isaac Campbell another young kid who keeps stepping up and obviously Jordy Iudica was great again. Connor Griffin, Nick McCormack and Jack Collins were best on a tough day for the Goannas. MCUE will finish the home and away season with a bye and prepare for an elimination final clash on Sunday, September 2, that will likely be against Leeton-Whitton.  Griffith finish their home and away season at home against Wagga Tigers. A win over the eight placed Tigers will give the Swans a perfect 16 for the year.
