Media report - by Liam Warren: Murray Stephenson's 10-goal haul led the Wagga Tigers to a 69-point win on the road against Griffith at Exies Oval. The Swans were in the contest early with the hosts just trailing by nine points heading into the first change, but the Tigers were able to break away from there. The Wagga side kicked five to two in the second term as a statement of intent, with the Tigers holding a 28-point lead heading into halftime. The Tigers kicked away further straight after half time as they kicked six goals to two before another four-goal quarter in the final locked away the 18.9 (117) to 7.6 (48) victory.
It sees the Swans rooted on the bottom of the standings on percentage, ahead of their trip to Narrandera next weekend to take on the Eagles who opened their account against Leeton-Whitton. Source - The Area News, Sat May 3, 2025.
