Media report - By Jimmy Meiklejohn: A solid second half from the Wagga Tigers saw them secure a 10-goal win over Griffith, their third home victory in succession. After a strong opening term, the Tigers then fell away a tad in the lead-up to half-time, heading to the sheds with a 27-point lead. After kicking three unanswered goals in the third term, the Tigers then surged home with five in the last as they went on to claim a 13.12 (90) to 4.6 (30) win over the Swans.
Tigers coach Adrian Pavese noted during the week that his side's current main objective is to string together a complete four-quarter performance. While they didn't quite compete that against Griffith, Pavese said they edged another step closer to their goal.
The Tigers dominated the early proceedings at Robertson Oval with four unanswered goals in the opening term. However, it was much tighter affair in the second quarter with their only goals coming from Lochie Field while Griffith kicked their first of the contest through Brady Colvin.
The Tigers then wrestled back momentum after halftime kicking three unanswered goals to open up a 48-point three-quarter time lead.

The fourth quarter was a bit of a shootout with a combined eight goals as the game opened up a bit towards the end of the contest.

Having been tested in the second quarter, Pavese said he was pleased with the response from his side to take control of proceedings after halftime. "We came in and I didn't have to rant and rave as they knew," he said. "I think that's the next step for us as a football team and a club, Ganmain and 'Gullie and all the power clubs over the last few years. "They know when they're not at their standard and they try and drive those standards regardless, that's where we want to get to. "You can't do much more than win three in a row against good opposition in this comp, we'll keep working."

Murray Stephenson continued his dominant year in front of the sticks kicking seven while Lachie Myers, Ryan Best and Matt Ryan were also very influential in their win. Pavese credited the efforts of Ryan while he also made note of the contributions from Field and Tommy McCoullough. McCoullough finished the game on the sidelines after receiving a yellow card in the latter stages of the fourth term.
