GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" June 5, 1994 - No. 8

With a three/two win/loss on the day against the Hoppers, the Swans had a better result than John Hewson, and made the four. The Thirds win saw good players in Kane Duncan, Matty Kenny, Glen Vaccari, Wayne Donneto, and Rosemary Burke sponsored incentive award winners 'Pooley', Rod Best and Craig Rawle.
The Seconds did it tough, best players being 'pocket battleship' Mark O'Bryan, Jason Wadley and the Bertoldo Bakery winners 'Vaccas', Chis Noack and big 'Dave Stebbo'.
The Netballers lost B Grade 8-33, with Kylie Simpson and Nina Donetto having good games, while A Grade won 35-20 with Rachael Neville and Cathy Bourchier doing a Bronwyn Bishop smile, shinning. A reminder that rego money is due to Nicole Hathaway this week, and training is at the Exies on Wednesday at 6 pm.
The Firsts came away with a win after a struggle reminding of a Scotsman's fare at church when the plate comes around - dour (isn't always the case at Coolamon?). Best players being Phil Rowston, 'Swampy' Davis, 'Gus' Argus, Fitz and the Quiprite incentive award winners David 'Ich' Eichler, Myles Bunn, Graham 'Axle' Foley and Chris Parr. With the number of injuries to be repaired, the club's results can only get better. John 'Quantas' McNamara made a great debut at CHF.
Congrats Rowsty, Fitz (Seniors) and Brent Harrison (Under 18's) on their success at the State Championships.
A reminder that on June 7 (Tuesday) the Social Committee will hold a 'Cocktail Party' at the Pink Hall, 7 pm, with cocktails, supper and live entertainment for only $10. Welcome to the Redlegs. CARN THE SWANS!
