GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 20, 2001 - No.5  

THERE was once a town, a small town, a town where sport was precedence over everything else. The Number 1. supporter of sport in the town was Danny's Store, the best burgers in town and Shane Best Painting Contractors, the only way to get the painting done. In this town was a newsagency, Griffith Newsagency. They were the proud sponsors of the local A Grade Netball team. On the weekend in May, this team took on the giants Turvey Park, they battled hard and one by one solitary goal. This was an amazing feat and one they will remember or the rest of their Netball careers. The town has some very famous people playing in their Netball team. One of the most famous was Lisa "Long Legs" Benson. Helen "Little Miss Consistent" Overs was another superstar in the town and Megan "Georgeous" Rawle was very very well known down at the local McDonalds.  To be continued ....
