 GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 24, 1998 - No. 6 

AFTER a titanic all night the Seniors were defeated by Narrandera in front of another big crowd under lights. The guys must learn to play four quarters of football and not give the opposition any breaks.
The game was sponsored by the Acacia Motel and the awards where the Ex-Servicemen's Club Award was won by Frank "Captain Snooze" Matthews, the Billabong Bottle Shop award was won by Matthew "The Big O" Olney, the Prendys BP Award was won by Phillip "Rowdy" Rowston, and the Lowes Award was won by Aaron "Porky" O'Keefe.
The Reserve Grade worked hard and had a good win. The awards were Players' Player Mug to Matthew "Lashes" Kenny, $30 to Brent "Macatmacoat" Hathaway, $20 Adrian "Capper" Stibbard, $10 to Michael "bubba" Claydon, and the McDonalds / Griffith Coaches Award to Myles "Cowboy" Bunn.
The Under 18's played well and recorded a big win. The awards were $15 to Luke Irons, $10 to David Roberts, $5 to Luke Jasprizza and the McDonalds / Griffith Coaches Award to Matthew Edwards.
Commiserations from all the Club go to Dean and Tim Hilton and their families on the passing away of their grandmother last week.
Tonight, is a seafood night at the Yoogali Club. $30 a head for all the seafood you can eat. 
This week's player profile is on Shane Ruyg. Nicknames: Rug, Boxhead, Goofy, Chopper. Favourite Pastimes: Kicking goals, not handballing, annoying Matty Olney, buying new cars, growing his hair upwards, cross dressing. Favourite Venue: Goldfingers, Elbow Room, Monday night training. Career Highlight: Working at Bartters with the legendary Ricky Burdett. Most Memorable Moment: Receiving handballs in the forward line from Gary "Oldgus" Argus and Billy McGowan in the same game.
