SWANS CLUB NOTES: Riverina Football Record May 14, 2000 - No 6.

Last week we made the long trip to Robertson Oval to take on the Tigers in probably the best conditions for many years. It proved to be a rather mixed day with the Reserves sneaking home with a hard fought two-point win. However, the rest of the grades struggled against some very good opposition, with the Firsts putting in three good quarters together, learn't that to be a good side you must be able to play out all four, when the Tigers came out in the last looking fresh as they were in the first to run away with the game. The Under 18's came up against a very good outfit to receive a rather large score kicked on them, which I'm sure they can turn around when we host them later in the year. A Grade netball couldn't follow up on B Grades win going down by nine goals.

Thank you to Keith & Helen Mitchell of Bidgee Marine/Mitchell Ag Parts for sponsoring last week's game, which the awards went as follows: David Curran will be dining out with the Exies Dinner for Two with a solid performance, the Snuggle-In voucher will come in handy for Myles Bunn to give his mother this Sunday, while his brother Matthew won the Donaldson's Mitre 10 award. Dean Jamieson will almost have a new ute with another Ron's Auto One award, as well as being able to celebrate his birthday through the week with the Players Mug. The McDonalds voucher will help Kaine 'SS' Malone cook for the boys, while Brendan 'Freak' Giason will be filling up at Caltex with the petrol voucher.

In the Reserves Shane 'Boxhead' Ruyg made a return from injury to take out the Billabong Bottle Shop award. Rod 'The Man' Duncan will be visiting Autobarn with voucher in hand. Luke 'Monty' Irons will be shouting his flatmate 'Axe' a lovely night out at McDonalds with their award. Griffith Laundry Service will be again visited by Danny 'No. 5 in the 6th Drisco' Beriman, while Jeff 'that's number 4' Inglis wrestled the Players Mug and won with an outstanding return from injury.

In the Under 18's Luke 'what broken leg' Condon won the J.D's Pizza award with a never-say-die game. Daniel Best took out the McDonalds award, while Adam Boag also tried hard all day to take home the Video Ezy voucher. I didn't receive any Netball notes this week, I will be sure next week will make up for it.

This week's game is sponsored by the Athlete's Foot and the Club would like to thank Lyn Bortolin and Glenys Damini for their support. Today we take on Narrandera and let's go for another clean sweep in all grades.

Congratulations go out to Phil & Kirsty Rowston with the arrival of baby Jack last week, we wish them all the best. Also, the Club would like to wish all the Mum's have a very happy Mother's Day; we hope you have a great day. Good luck to all sides. Go Swans!
