SWANS CLUB NOTES: Riverina Football Record June 17, 2000 - No 11.

It seems a long time ago but the trip to Gumly Gumly Oval was a very successful one. Once again for this season we had a clean sweep in all grades on another cold and windy game. Vaccari's Bakery was our game sponsor and both the club, and the players would like to thank Glenn & Jason for their continued support.

First grade was glad to come home with the points after EWK made a surge towards the end to narrow the margin and give Jon and the boys quite a scare. In the awards it was Andrew Hill taking out the Exies Dinner for Two with a great game in the ruck. Kaine 'SS' Malone was once again sensational to take home the Snuggle-In voucher, while Jon O'Dwyer was inspirational at CHB to take the Donaldson Mitre 10 award. Matthew Bunn (Geelong Grammer's number one guy) ran all day collecting many possessions to be awarded the Ron's Auto One voucher. Dean Jamieson will be having hot cakes and has browns for smoko with the McDonalds award. Glenn 'Growler' Vaccari did his best to reclaim some of the money he and Jason sponsored by playing a tremendous game showing everyone he's back bigger and better than before.

In the Reserves it was once again a one-sided affair with our boys crunching the opposition. Andrew Noad took out the Billabong Bottle Shop voucher for best on ground, which he would like to take the opportunity to thank his flat mate and training mentor Grant Kelson for his help. Luke 'Monty' Irons was once again outstanding to be awarded the Autobarn voucher. Kane McGregor was again consistent to be awarded the McDonald voucher. Griffith Laundry Service will receive a visit from Grant Lamont who didn't hold anything back against his old club, while the Players Mug was awarded to one of the experienced mug drinkers in Simon Spiers.

Under 18's also had a good win, again with limited numbers. Ben Ford again showed his continued good form to be awarded the J.D's Party Pizza, while Tom Gallagher won the McDonalds voucher just edging out Stan Gash who settled for the Video Ezy award.

The Netballers got back into the winning circle as well, with huge wins in both grades. Megan Rawle led the way for A Grade 20-goal win, while Kristen Ireland was sensational in B Grade 32-goal win, well done girls.

This week we start all over again when we take on Leeton at Leeton. For the First Grade especially it will be time to make up for the first-round loss at the start of the year, and for the rest of the grades, it's a time to continue the good work in the run home to the finals. Today's game sponsor is Griffith Autoscreen, thank you to Jack Trimboli for his continued support.

Don't forget tonight at the Exies-on-Burrell we have our mid-season Ball starting at 8 p.m. The theme for the night is to dress as something starting with the initial of your first name. Also, on the social front we have our Reverse Draw on this Sunday at the same venue. So, to all grades let's come home with a win and enjoy the events even more. Good Luck!
