Match report - Swans on Screen: Great interest was centered in the contest between these rival clubs which took place at the Leeton Showgrounds on Saturday.  It was certainly not expected by the Swans most sanguine supporters that their team would win so easily where nearly every man in the team played well, and exceptionally well. Heath Northey, for instance, played a very fine game and appeared to be always in the play. Kahlan Spencer, too, played a fine game, and so did Henry Delves, apart altogether from his goal kicking, in which he scored four goals and two behinds from six shots. Tom Powell, although he showed want of condition, his weight and strength made him a stiff item for the Crows to deal with. Kieran Ruyg played with his usual remarkable dash, but the ball was too elusive for him at times. Mr. Fletcher and Ms. Jameson were the umpires for this match and although in this particular game it did not matter a great deal if either gave a few unfair decisions. I have no occasion to complain in this instance on the score of making an excuse for victory or defeat, but what we want is a fair go every time. There were several remarks made about a certain barracker for the over free use of his tongue late in the game. A thing like this gives football a bad name and should be stamped out. The young man in question tried to apologise for his unruly behavior but whether it was accepted at the conclusion of the match by the much-offended footballer is anyone's guess.
