GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" July 13, 1997 - No. 15

The Seniors worked hard in the first half to develop a commanding half time lead. The boys ran away in the second half with good team orientated football to record a convincing win. The non-contracted player awards were $130 to Danny "Freak" Baxter, $70 to Gary "Gus" Argus, $50 to Wayne "Kid" Bodycott, $30 to Jamie "Bean" Bennett and $20 to Matthew "Racehorse" Bunn. Other good players included Marcus "Cowboy" Simpson and Graeme "Tiger" Woods.
The Reserve Grade played well to run out big winners. The awards were $30 to Trent "Chicwachento" Demarco, $20 to David "Buddha" Gee, and $10 to Chris "Deisel" Conlan. The players' player award went to Brent "Plugger" Harrison and the Mugs' Mug went to Matthew 'Ribs" Kenny. The McDonalds/Griffith Coaches award was won by Mark "Rowdy" McCormack.
The Under 18's unfortunately were subjected to a forfeit by the Noorth Wagga-RAAF opposition.
This week we are spending sixty seconds with Wayne Bodycott.
