GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 26, 1996 - No. 7

A terrific win by the Seniors outshone the losses by the 2nds & Under 18's at the Crossroads. The Seniors started off like a bomb and never looked back, running out convincing winners against good opposition. If the boys continue in this manner, they will overcome their 'unpredictableness' and prove a headache to the so-called top sides.
The award winners were $100 Trevor 'I am a glutton for punishment' Clarke, $50 Brent 'Macatmacoat' Hathaway, $30 Mathew 'What are you doing for dinner?' Cox and $20 Jamie 'Jimbob' Bennett. The Players' Player award went to Brent Hathaway.
The 2nds performed dismally and were very lacklustre on the day. Hopefully an effort like that will shake the lethargy out of the guys and get them back on the right track again. The award winners were $30 to Scott 'The card Shark' Lord, $20 to Glen Vaccari and $10 to Scott Collis. The Players' Player went to Damien 'The Desperado' Hill, and the Mugs' Mug went to Glen Vaccari.
The Under 18's took on the competition leaders and battled it out all day against the odds. The best players were Rod Duncan, Michael Tull, Nathan Kite, Adam Sara and David Dunn.
In the netball A Grade had a big win 61-11 with Lisa Brand, Kirsty Collis, Karen Conlan and Rachel Dreyer playing well. Lisa Brand won the Players' Player award. In B Grade the team went down 15-40 with everyone trying hard. The best included Leanne Scott, Tanya Olney, Shakira Ford and Naomi Collis with the Players' Player award going to Shakira Ford.
This week's player profile is Danny Tuohey.

Nickname: Delve/Mutley, Favourite pastimes: Mumbling, arguing with Jeannie Files and hassling Coxy, Most memorable moment: My birthday this year, Best Friend: Smithys' dog 'Spike'.
