GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" July 31, 1993 - No. 13

After a winning run of five games, it all came down to a sloppy end when the Bulldogs discover webbed feet before the Swans did and showed us how to play wet weather footy. In a game were water polo, soccer and plenty of determination were basic ingredients of how to play last week, our best players were Glen Garner who had his best game of the year and picked up the mug. Others good players were Stu Egan, Peter & David Dunkley and Gary Argus. The incentive award went to Jason Wescott $100, Joe Agresta $50, Rick Burdett $30 and Mark Brown $20. The awards sponsor last week was Brian Hammond.

The Seconds put it to Turvey Park all day but just didn't have the team play that Turvey had. The incentive award, which is sponsored by DeBortoli Wines went to Scott Collis $30, Grant Cameron $20 and Brett McAlister $20.

The Under 18's had another good win and were our only shining light on an otherwise dull day. Graham Foley won the Pizza, Damon Clark won the $10, while other good players were Brent Hathaway and Alex Forster.

The Netball team also suffered a loss, the scores being 30-11. Good players were Carmen Olney, Peta Bennett and Rachel Oakley.

Please remember that we will be having our annual Swans Auction at Woodside Hall on August 28, so any donations and goods on a commission-basic will be appreciated.

Let's get on our winning way again and show the Tigers that we are serious about our September intentions.
