SWANS CLUB NOTES: Riverina Football Record July 30, 2000 - No 16.

Another week of highs and lows with our Under 18's, Reserves and B Grade netball all recording good wins, especially the Under 18's coming from behind to outgun the top side of the competition. Once again, the Ressies kept their unbeaten record with their 14 straight wins of the season. First Grade couldn't continue on from the lower grades, once again were on the wrong end of a 105-point loss. Thank you to Ian Geddes of Cater & Blumer as well as Steve & Julie Best of Steve Best Plumbing Services for sponsoring the day's events.

Awards went as follows, for First Grade Brendon Giason won the Exies Dinner for Two, youngster Luke Condon worked hard to be awarded the Snuggle-In voucher, Myles 'The Mayor of Goolgowi' Bunn won the Donaldson's Mitre 10 award, while Jason Malone will be shopping at Ron's Auto One with award in hand. McDonalds will be stocking up on Big Macs after hearing Jeff 'Pumpkin Head' Mickan won the voucher, he also won the Players Mug, Caltex will receive a visit from Damien Scott after winning the petrol voucher.

In Reserves the Griffith Exies Bottle Shop voucher went to Gavin Hill who helped the boys on the hill get wound up for the Trivia Night. Simon 'Harvey World Travel' Spiers took out the Autobarn voucher, while Michael Duncan will be shouting Kitey & Kaine smoko with the McDonalds voucher. Chris 'Old man River' Conlan will again be popular at home after winning the Griffith Laundry Service voucher, and last of all the other old fella Greg 'Grumpy' Dreyer won the Players Mug in a solid performance.

In what was the upset of the day the Under 18's award went to Brett Owen who took out the J.D's Pizza award, Tom Gallagher won the McDonalds voucher, while Mathew Crack won the Video Ezy award after stepping up from the Under 16's.

A Grade netball felt the effects of State League going down by 14 goals with Mel Jamieson battling hard all day, while Louise Files was outstanding in B Grades 17 goal win over the Tigers.

This week's game is sponsored by Bob & Brenda Spears and the club and players would like to thank them for their support. Today it's Narrandera and let's hope we can get a clean sweep. Good luck to all grades. Go Swans!
